The ‘Enjoy The Match’ campaign has seen all matches this season prefixed with a recorded announcement promoting football as a family sport. As part of this, each club is encouraged to have a ‘family area’ where there will be a zero-tolerance policy on swearing and threatening behaviour.
9-men.co.uk very much agrees with providing an atmosphere that parents will feel comfortable bringing their children into, and that younger children will feel comfortable being in. The language in football grounds is pretty ripe at the best of times. Stamping this out would be incredibly difficult, not to mention unpopular.
So keep the family sections clean and leave the rest of us to have a fucking good swear.
