Narrow margins still against us

The last two games have seen Dagenham and Redbridge lose narrowly, 1-0 at home to Oldham and 2-1 at Plymouth. Both of these games could easily have gone the other way, enough to see us out of the relegation zone, but as it stands we’re now 6 points from safety. Read on for our account of both games.

At last an away win… and then a defeat

The Daggers finally secured that most elusive of outcomes with their visit to Huish Park. With fears we could “do a Gillingham” and go the whole season without 3 points on the road, it was a welcome relief to record a 3-1 victory. However, hopes that this would revive our away form were immediately squashed with an entertaining but ultimately gutting 3-2 loss at Orient in the FA Cup replay. Form dip continues with Rochdale loss

The last two matches have seen the Daggers continue the slump in form that begun with the 2-0 loss at MK Dons. A home draw against Walsall in a game we dominated was followed by a 3-2 loss at Rochdale which had seen us 3-0 down after an hour. Just what went wrong, and where can go from here?

MK away day ends unbeaten run

After 4 games undefeated, the Daggers were put back into the drop zone this weekend. Following an impressive draw at the Valley, we took a point from promotion hopefuls Colchester before beating last season’s play-off finalists Swindon. However, MK Dons halted our run with a 2-0 win courtesy of Baldock and Doumbe.

Charlton draw puts Daggers back on course

Just when you thought a home derby win over Orient had settled the Daggers into life in League One, along came Bournemouth and Bristol Rovers to upset the apple cart. Successive defeats put big pressure on last week’s game against Exeter and a point set us up nicely for a trip to the Valley. Here’s our take on events over the last 4 matches.

Romain rules as Daggers find their feet

Four matches have passed since our last look at fortunes on the pitch, and it certainly seems as if we’re now beginning to adjust to life in League One. A tough away trip to Notts County proved fruitless, but home matches against Tranmere and Leyton Orient yielded a 4-point return, with a narrow cup defeat at Charlton sandwiched in between.
