In recent years, Dagenham & Redbridge FC has been an active influence within the community, supporting programmes such as Kickz and the Thames Gateway Project, whilst also being vociferous in their support of organisations such as Kick It Out and Show Racism The Red Card. Whilst browsing throught some rubbish rag that had been left on the train last week, a photo of a young actor caught the eye. No, not in that way. The reason being that he bore an almost passing resemblance to our naff right-back turned super centre-back, Scott Doe.
A rather hefty nine games have gone by since we last examined the ups and downs of the Daggers. Although we’ve touched on various aspects of different matches since the January defeat to Notts County, it is about time we took a more in-depth look at recent events on the field.
Last Tuesday night the Daggers came back to defeat Aldershot Town at The Rec in quite extraordinary circumstances. With only four goals in the last seven away league matches, three goals in the final 25 minutes to overturn a two-goal deficit was nothing short of miraculous. It’s not the first time the Daggers have been involved in an epic comeback over the years though.
We are a Dagenham and Redbridge FC fan site. The name was inspired by the Daggers winning the Ryman Premier League title in April 2000, coming from behind to beat Hampton and Richmond Borough after having 2 players sent off.
